About Us

Greenview Foundation

The Greenview Foundation was incorporated in 2006 as a 501C(3) charity in the state of Michigan. It was started by Debbie and Ted Green with the long term goal of raising awareness and money for medical research in areas that are currently under-funded.

Hepatitis C Fund

The first project of the Greenview Foundation is the Hepatitis C Fund, whose purpose is to advance medical research at the University of Michigan hospitals to help find a cure or better treatment for Hepatitis C.

The first and readily attainable goal is to donate $50,000 in 2007 to the University of Michigan hospitals. With this amount, the University can already conduct an additional research project. The larger goal is to donate over $100,000 by 2008; with this amount the University will work with the Fund to determine the best research to conduct. While these amounts may seem very modest, government funding of Hepatitis C research is so low that these amounts will have a significant impact.

Many to Thank

We would like to thank all the wonderful people who contributed recipes, proofreading, art work, emotional support, medical information, advertising, and legal and financial backing. Special thanks to:

Honey and Craig Smith - Debbie's parents who encouraged us every step of the way and donated the money to cover the startup costs.

Uzma Ahmad and the Dykema Gossett law firm, who handled all the legal stuff, pro bono.

Dr. Anna Lok - Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of Clinical Hepatology at the University of Michigan, who wrote the forward to the cookbook and looks forward to the success of the Fund.
